It appears that health-related technologies have become a major trend at electronics shows in recent years. Devices showcased at these events range from
smart beds with features to measure blood pressure to robotic cubes designed to improve mental health. Considering the increasing number of health-conscious
individuals, it is natural for companies to embark on manufacturing health-related products under strategic plans. As far as I am concerned, smartwatches
that can monitor blood sugar levels are the most interesting and exciting.
I have treated some patiendts who are diabetec, and there are some patients who tend to eat quickly.
Eating food quickly leads to consuming one bite after another at a high pace, which can cause a rapid increase in blood sugar levels. Then, to decrease
the blood sugar level, the pancreas is forced to release a lot of insulin, putting a significant burden on the organ.
Moreover, these significant fluctuations in blood sugar levels can cause serious health conditions, such as Type 2 diabetes and atherosclerosis.
Given that, it is indispensable for me to avoid eating hastily. Using a smartwatch might help me maintain my health. Although the accuracy of blood sugar
level measurements by smartwatches currently available on the market is not consistently guaranteed, I hope their features will improve and become as reliable
as conventional invasive methods in the near future.
